They were so pretty with no accesories and tons of make up.
When you saw them you thougt: “I want to look like them, wait… I could look like them”.
That was the cool thing about old school. You were swept up in this crazy fashion and you thought they were so cool, and you felt like it wouldnt be too hard to get into. It seemed attainable. There was a lot of emphasis on DIY, it wasnt about fads and prints, you didnt feel like you had to buy brand or spend $400 on your first dress. It was ok if you didnt know how to put on crazy makeup, or own outrageous wigs. It was attainable.
